Oracle PL-SQL Developer

Job brief

We are looking for a Sr. Oracle SQL + PLSQL Developer with experience in building high-performing, scalable, enterprise-grade applications, in Linux environments. You will be part of a talented software team that works on mission-critical applications. You will be responsible for planning and making documented requirements, providing solutions on them, from concept and design to testing.

Technical Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Engineering or a related subject
  • Minimum 8+ years of Oracle development experience, using SQL/PL-SQL.
  • Must have in Unix shell/bash scripting/commands.
  • Must have understanding of Hadoop skill set.
  • Expert experience in Oracle database data modelling / design
  • Sound understanding of database query optimization/tuning
  • Ability to troubleshoot complicated issues and resolve them.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, both at a technical level with other teammates and at a functional level with business stakeholders and Client
  • Create Functional, Technical & Testing documentation
  • Troubleshoot and fix issues reported by QA and Customers and help product support
  • Nice to have: Experience using JIRA, working on an Agile/Scrum team, Git
  • Nice to have: some exposure to Redshift Aws environments, Hive,

  • Self-motivated and able to perform with minimal supervision
  • Must have good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Clearly demonstrated passion for programming

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems, delivering high-availability and performance.
  • Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle.
  • Write well designed, testable, scalable, efficient code.
  • Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Unit-test code, usability, reliability, and performance testing of code/app.
  • Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
  • Prepare and produce releases of software components.
