Job Description

The role is for a senior cloud engineer who is expected to work independently on various assignments on AWS cloud. The person is mostly supposed to work in implementing designs on AWS cloud that may or may not involve integrations with other cloud providers such as Azure, GCP, etc. The person is also expected to be well versed in automation especially in Terraform, Cloudformation, and Python. At a high-level, the tasks and actions expected from the role are given below:
 

1. Write Terraform/Cloudformation scripts for creating and modifying AWS services
 

2. Assist and participate in the design of Landing Zone on AWS
 

3. Work in one or more projects in an individual contributor role in implementing Landing Zones, migrating applications to AWS from another cloud service provider or on-premises, and creating automation pipelines for deploying applications and infrastructure
 

4. Design, configure, and administer Kubernetes environment
 

5. Deploy applications on Kubernetes with the help of automation pipelines built on configuration management tools such as Ansible/Chef/Other tools.
 

6. Set-up and configure CI and CD tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket, Gitlab, Nexus, etc.
 

7. Implement automation by writing scripts in Python/Go/other languages
 

Among other activities although not restricted to are given below:
 

8. Conduct migration assessment for applications identified to be migrated to AWS with the help of tools such as Flexera Cloudscape, Cloudamize, AWS native assessment services, etc.
 

9. Implement SAST and DAST in DevOps pipelines with the help of commonly used tools such as Checkmarx, Sonarcloud, Acunetix, etc.
 

10. Support handover of an environment to Cloud Managed Services (Operations) for migration and cloud implementation projects

Requirements

Apart from the responsibilities and the skill requirements mentioned, the candidates must possess the following:
 

1. Very good verbal and written communication 
 

2. Flexibility to work in various shifts (except graveyard shift) aligning to client's requirements
 

3. Ability to collaborate with other members of the team and the rest of the organization for successful execution of projects
 

4. Ability to diligently follow the organizational policies such as timesheet compliance, on-time delivery, leave policies, hybrid working policy, etc. (will be explained in detail during offer acceptance)
 

5. Take ownership of task completion with the ability to work with managers and customers to unblock challenges along the way.
