The Purpose of This Role

As Network Engineer in the operations team will be responsible for network operations of the network landscape for NxtGen Datacenter and Cloud Technologies.

To be a successful candidate, you will need to have a strong understanding of network
infrastructure and network hardware. You will also need to be able to implement, administer, and
troubleshoot network devices including firewalls, routers, switches, and load balancers.

A deep knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols is highly desired.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge with Arista, Dell, Cisco routing and switching.
• Knowledge with Fortinet/Checkpoint/Cisco ASA
• Ability to implement, administers, and troubleshoots network infrastructure devices,
including multi-vendor firewalls, routers, switches, LB and routers.
• In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP networking technologies.
• Knowledge of Routed/Routing Protocols: BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VRF, VPNs.
• Knowledge of Switched Protocols: LAG, STP, PVST, RPVST, MST, VXLAN.
• Working experience on P2P, ILL, MPLS, Multicast, L2VPN, L3VPN, VLAN, STP, LAG, DHCP,
DNS and switching technologies
• Strong Knowledge of router and firewall terminated VPN configuration and monitoring
• Administer complex FW and IPS rule bases under change management. Lead the
implementation of business-critical changes or upgrades/updates.
• Have worked on Network monitoring tools like PRTG, SolarWinds, Manage Engine, Ops
Manager etc.
• Knowledge of packet sniffers/tcpdump and ability to read information from packet
captures
• Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design in Visio or MS
Lucid Chart and planning network communication systems
• Self-motivated, goal oriented and meticulous individual, who can adhere to departmental
process and procedures and able to work with minimal supervision
• Able to multi-task and manage changing priorities to meet demands of internal and
external customers
• Demonstrate ability to contribute to an atmosphere of teamwork through collaborative
behaviour and open communications
• Ability to define and/or refine processes to benefit the team and customers
• Excellent analytical, communication (verbal and writing) skills; process oriented.
• Review security logs and take appropriate actions
How Your Work Impacts the Organization
You will be responsible for providing Network incident management and resolution work
solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks
Certifications Preferred:
• Fortinet NSE4 or above, Cisco CCNP, CCSE
